The eight-time WRC World Champion will be competing in the Croatia Rally in Zagreb.

Sébastien Ogier will make his second appearance of the season in Croatia next month. Toyota has announced that the eight-time rally world champion will drive one of its three GR Yaris Rally 1 cars on the challenging Croatian asphalt, host to the fourth round of the WRC season, from April 18th to 21st, based in Zagreb.

Ogier and co-driver Vincent Landais will then join Toyota’s two full-time drivers, Elfyn Evans and Takamoto Katsuta. The French driver, in 2024, competed in the Monte Carlo Rally, finishing in second place overall, behind only Thierry Neuville.

On the demanding and selective Croatian roads, Ogier raced in 2021, winning the race with a margin of 0.6s over Toyota teammate Evans. Last year, the driver from Gap finished fifth overall, after a puncture on Friday.

Ogier’s schedule for 2024 beyond Croatia is yet to be announced, but his participation in the Rally Italia Sardegna, scheduled for late May and early June in Alghero, appears almost certain.

At Hyundai Motorsport, the lineup will be announced in the coming hours, but Andreas Mikkelsen’s return to the third Hyundai i20 rally1 seems almost certain, with the Norwegian joining Ott Tänak and Thierry Neuville.
