The Spanish Championship (S-CERA) 2024 promises great battles right from the first race, with a roster of world-class crews ready to challenge each other on the demanding dirt roads of Lorca. With at least five or six crews vying for the title and another two or three ready to dazzle spectators, the anticipation for the start of the season is palpable.

The season will kick off with the Rally Tierras Altas de Lorca, scheduled for the upcoming weekend on the winding dirt roads around the city of Lorca. The event, organized by the Lorca Automobile Club, will see the participation of eighty-two crews, a significant increase compared to the previous edition, which had 63 entrants.

Among the protagonists are names like englishman Gus Greensmith and frenchman Matthieu Margaillan, both driving the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, preparing respectively for the WRC2 and the French rally championship.

The fight for the final victory promises to be intense, with a wide group of contenders. In addition to Greensmith and Margaillan, among the favorites we find José Antonio Suárez, Alejandro Cachón, Diego Ruiloba, Pepe López, Iván Ares, Efrén Llarena, Sergi Pérez, Óscar Palomo, Alexander Villanueva, and Gil Membrado, each with their own ambitions and determined to make their mark on the Spanish roads.

In the Junior R2 category, there are seven registered crews, with particular attention to Aitor Sorozabal and Andorran Alex Espanol. Meanwhile, in the Renault Clio Rally5 Trophy, there are ten registered crews with teams from Mexico, Argentina, and France.

Finally, in the Trophy dedicated to the Toyota Aygo, ten crews will compete for this first event of 2024, including a crew from Madagascar among the entrants.
