The lie about Loeb’s move to M-Sport, in fact, had no logic whatsoever compared to the work that the French world rally champion is doing with Dacia and Prodrive to develop the new car for the Dakar. M-Sport Ford team principal Richard Millener flatly denied the news.

Rumors recently emerged according to which Sébastien Loeb would return to racing with the M-Sport Ford in 2024. The news, obviously, literally spread, as happens every time Loeb is involved. But it was fake news. Also because, as is known, M-Sport is not in happy economic conditions.

The lie about Loeb’s move to M-Sport, in fact, had no logic whatsoever compared to the work that the French world rally champion is doing with Dacia and Prodrive to develop the new car for the Dakar. M-Sport Ford team principal Richard Millener flatly denied the news.

Loeb is not in the team’s plans. To DirtFish, Millener said: “Don’t get me wrong, working with a nine-time world champion is always something wonderful, but it’s not in our plans. We have defined our team for this season and our leaders are Adrien Fourmaux and Grégoire Munster.”

Everything is right and beautiful, but there is only one thing to clarify: it is not that Loeb is not in M-Sport’s plans, but perhaps given how much he costs, Loeb himself is positioned at plans unattainable by a small team like M-Sport . So, there is no money for these adventures.
