Second win in a row on mexican gravel for the norwegian driver, Alejandro Mauro and Gustavo Uriosteguei won the teams classification for Mexico TV4

The Rally of Nations Guanajuato, held this weekend in Mexico, saw the triumph of the Team Scandinavia crew, composed of Norwegian Mads Østberg and Swedish navigator Patrick Barth aboard a Skoda Fabia R5 with Pirelli tires. Østberg, a former WRC2 world champion, dominated the race, winning fourteen out of fifteen stages and taking the lead from the first special stage.

In an extraordinary performance, Andrea Mabellini and Virginia Lenzi from Team Italy clinched second place, successfully debuting on the challenging Mexican terrain with a Skoda Fabia R5 equipped with MRF tires. The third step of the podium was secured by locals Alejandro Mauro Sanchez and Adrian Perez Fernandez from Team Mexico TV4, in a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo. This result ensured Sanchez’s victory in the Mexico Championship and handed Team Mexico TV4 the win in the team standings, also thanks to Gustavo Uriosteguei’s solid performance in the Renault Clio Rally5.

The top-5 was completed by two more local teams: in fourth place, Team GTO 200 Años, represented by Ricardo Cordero Jr. and Marco Hernández in a Citroen C3 Rally2, and in fifth place, Nil Solans and Luka Larossa from Team Spain in a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX.

Unfortunately, the race was unlucky for Alberto Battistolli and Simone Scattolin from Team Italy, stopped by a turbo problem during the sixth special stage. Team France, with Didier Auriol and Julien Ingrassia, was also forced to retire due to mechanical issues. A similar situation occurred for Team UK, with Tom William and Max McRae retiring due to engine and gearbox problems respectively with their Yaris GR.

The top-10 was completed by the Swedes from Team Scandinavia, Dennis Radstrom and Johan Johansson, finishing sixth and claiming first place among NAT/NR4 cars with a Toyota Yaris GR. In seventh place, Team CanAm, with American Conner Martel and Italian navigator Alex Gelsomino in a Toyota Yaris GR. The eighth place was conquered by Team Mexico Silao, with locals Juan-Carlos Peralta and Gabriel Marin Jr. in a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, followed in ninth place by Finn Harri Rövanpera and Mexican Angelica Fuentes in a Toyota Yaris GR for Team RoN Defender. Rounding out the top-10 were local crew Gabriel Perez and Adrian Carmona from Team Mexico Guanajuato, in a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo.
