The winning Mcrae dynasty continues with Alister’s son. Young scottish driver wins on Rally Hungary gravel special stages and puts his Peugeot 208 more than one minute ahead of Jaspar Vaher’s Ford Fiesta and Mille Johansson’s Ope Corsa

Another McRae after Jimmy, Colin and Alister takes the top step of the podium. Young Max, son of British champion Alister and nephew of legend Colin, won his first Juniro ERC race at Rally Hungary, driving a Peugeot 208 Rally4. The Scotsman preserved his tires in the first special stages, then took the lead after the sixth and never relinquished the lead until the final triumph.

One minute and forty seconds the final advantage over the second place, the Estonian Jaspar Vaher in a Ford Fiesta and even more than seven minutes over the third, the Swede Mille Johansson in the Opel Corsa.

“It’s very special, especially on such a rough event,” said Peugeot 208 Rally4 driver McRae, who hit back from a damaged front-right tyre on SS8. “We played it quite smart and used our brains. It’s a very nice feeling. It’s a good start to the championship and hopefully we can keep this going on the next rounds and see where we end up but it’s a very good start.”
