First career victory for Březík in the Czech Championship

First career hurrah for Březík and Krajča, victorious at the Rally Hustopeče.

The 19th Agrotec Petronas Rally Hustopeče offered fans intense battles and excitement up to the last kilometer, granting Adam Březík and Ondřej Krajča their first career victory in a race of the Czech Championship.

The Samohýl Škoda Team crew, driving the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, triumphed by just 2.7 seconds over Jan Kopecký and Jan Hloušek, who also competed in a Fabia RS Rally2. For the multiple Czech champion and winner of WRC2 and FIA ERC titles, it was the second consecutive disappointment on the Hustopeče tarmac, following a similar loss last year to Václav Pech by the same margin.

Dominik Stříteský and Jiří Hovorka (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) claimed the third step of the podium, trailing the winners by 24.9 seconds. Erik Cais, the representative of the Autocentrum Lukáš Škoda Team, finished fourth, paying dearly for the 20 seconds lost in day 1, which effectively took him out of contention for the win despite a standout performance on day 2. Aleš Jirásek in a Škoda Fabia R5 rounded out the top 5, defending his position tooth and nail from Věroslav Cvrček (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2).

The top seventeen positions were occupied by Rally2 cars, with Škoda dominating with fifteen vehicles. Among the two-wheel-drive cars, David Štefan (Peugeot 208 Rally4) emerged victorious, followed closely by René Dohnal (Peugeot 208 Rally4) at 4.2 seconds behind and Ján Kundlák trailing by 18 seconds.
